Playing Ostrich

It intrigues me how often I think that if  I “stick my head in the sand” that it is a “bad” thing. I forget that it actually serves a purpose. It is a quiet time (sometimes not so quiet) to allow the heart, body, mind to unravel the wonderful mysteries that it needs to in order for the creative process to unfold. The mind is the last to understand and if I am lucky, it never does. I feel gratitude as I shake the sand out of my eyes.

Northern New Mexico

At last. A new studio. It is pretty wonderful with 16′ ceilings. Now that the huge move is behind me, I am looking forward to getting back to painting…..to having time for deep, reflective work. So much change…..It will be interesting to see it in my painting. Thank you to all who helped me (in big AND small ways) with this transition. I am thrilled to be here!!
